Intriguing DNA Case Study! Saturday, June 18th

The Pima County Genealogy Society June 2022 Monthly Meeting has a hot line-up! You don’t want to miss these speakers.

Skill Building: Saying I Do!

Our skill building session, presented by Joey Caccarozzo, is perfect for the June wedding season. Joey will present an overview of marriage records. She will help us learn about marriage registers, certificates, bonds, banns, applications, returns, and contracts. What are they all? Where can you find them?

Joey Caccarozzo

Joey L. Caccarozzo is a federal trial attorney by day and a
speaker and researcher on nights and weekends, with a focus in DNA, Italian, Louisiana, Slovak, and Ukrainian studies. She
completed the Advanced Italian Genealogy course at the
Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh in 2019 and her
Italian and Eastern European genealogy certificates through the National Institute of Genealogy Studies in 2020. Joey is the speaker coordinator for the Pima County Genealogy Society and a member of its steering and programming committees.

Main Program: When the DNA Roads Led Me Home to Iowa: A Case Study of the Sylvia Quayle Murder

Follow Investigative Genetic Genealogist Joan Hanlon of UnitedDataConnect.com, as she describes the research ups and downs that led to providing an investigative lead in a Colorado Criminal Cold Case that had multiple ties to her home state of Iowa!

Joan Hanlon is a genealogist at United Data Connect with a passion for DNA that began in the early days of consumer DNA testing. The love of data and relationships drew her to database programming as a career. The stories behind the data led her to study genealogy at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and teach family history classes for retirement centers, church groups, genealogy associations, and law enforcement.
