Diana Elder: Using Evidence Analysis in a Timeline

PCGS November Monthly Meeting: Saturday, November 19, 2022

Our PCGS November Hybrid Monthly Meeting will be a fun and educational opportunity for all of our Pima County genealogists and family historians. Diana Elder, of Family Locket and author of Research Like a Pro, is our featured speaker.

Please register for the meeting to be considered for the Door Prizes and indicate if you will be in person or via Zoom Here!

Jodi Lynn Strait and Amy Urman are going to kick things off with an event that you don’t want to miss for our last Monthly Program of 2022. Sharpen your genealogy skills with fun and games!

Featured Program: Using Evidence Analysis in a Timeline to Separate Individuals of the Same Name

We are excited to present Diana Elder! Merged identities are a common problem in genealogy – especially in online trees. Arranging records in a timeline and careful evidence analysis of each record can separate identities and lead to new research opportunities. Learn about sources, information, and evidence, and the power careful analysis has to find errors in research conclusions.

Diana Elder AG® is a professional genealogist accredited in the Gulf South region of the United States and serves as a Commissioner for The International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen). Diana authored Research Like a Pro: A Genealogist’s Guide and co-authored the companion volume, Research Like a Pro with DNA: A Genealogist’s Guide to Finding and Confirming Ancestors with DNA Evidence.

Diana created the study group and eCourse that teach the Research Like a Pro process through videos and learning modules. Diana and her daughter, Nicole, share research tips on their website, Family Locket (https://familylocket.com/), and are the hosts of the Research Like a Pro Genealogy Podcast.
